I really enjoyed my stay, especially the comfy bed and the clean, spacious bathroom. It was nice to relax in the garden area and wade in the public bath after a long day. Only downside was the lack of bedside lamps, but overall, I’d say this place is a gem! 🌟

The location of The White Lion in Machynlleth is fantastic. It sits right in the heart of the town, making it easy to explore. The staff are incredibly helpful and have a great attitude. I really appreciated their willingness to assist anytime we needed something. The breakfast was quite good, with a nice selection and prompt service. the room I stayed in, Bedroom 1, was a major letdown. It was situated above the kitchen and near the staff break area, leading to noise disturbances from early morning to late at night. The room itself needed serious updating. the sash window didn’t close properly and let in drafts. The mattress felt old and wasn't the most comfortable for a good night's sleep. Some aspects, like the furniture, felt worn and not well-maintained. Despite the friendly atmosphere and helpful staff, the room conditions made it hard to enjoy the stay fully.

The staff were super accommodating, especially with my dietary needs and that made my stay so much easier. I loved chilling in the garden area with a book and enjoying some live music in the evenings. The squeaky floorboards were a bit annoying, but nothing that overshadowed the great vibe overall! 😊
